In "Filibuster", Calderon mentioned that his father and his father's father fought the rebels, so the civil war has been going on for at least three generations. At this point, however, it is unclear whether there is any actual rebellion, because Agent Holly informs Archer and Lana that the "rebels" are actually CIA-backed mercenaries from Honduras and Guatemala (in "Archer Vice: Arrival / Departure").
