The seal of the OSS
The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was created on 13 June 1942 by President Roosevelt. It was the United States first intelligence agency. Malory was recruited into the OSS while she was on her way to an audition. [Strictly speaking, Malory was recruited by William "Wild Bill" Donovan (head of the OSS) himself, while on a bus ride to a callback for a TV commercial.]
