Jamie Lee Curtis (born November 22, 1958) is an American actress. She's famous for her performances in horror films, especially as the 'final girl' (the last girl or woman left standing to face the antagonist). As a renowned actress, she's received dozens of awards, most significantly an Academy Award, a BAFTA, and two Golden Globes, including a nomination for a Primetime Emmy and a Grammy. Her most recent major award was in 2023, for an Oscar at the Academy Awards as "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role" in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." Jamie Lee Curtis is the daughter of two actors, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. Some of her prominent portrayals include Laurie Strode in Halloween (franchise), Helen Tasker in True Lies, Tess Coleman in Freaky Friday (2003), and Cathy Munsch in Scream Queens. She's also guest starred in many films, like Donna Berzatto in The Bear. In addition to acting, Curtis is a producer and a children's author. She's married to British-American filmmaker Christopher Guest, and they have two adopted children together. She has five other siblings, two of them also being actresses (Kelly Curtis and Allegra Curtis).

She was born and raised in California, and although she left for a while to pursue education elsewhere, in 1976, she returned to study law at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. However, she dropped out to pursue an acting career. She landed her first role a year later after withdrawing, as a minor role in the American medical drama television series Quincy M.E. Only a year went by after that, in 1978, did she play one of her most iconic characters, Laurie Strode, in Halloween. The movie was one of the highest-grossest independent films of its time, and her portrayal convinced producers to cast her in many other horror films. In October 2006, she retired to "focus on her family," but a year later, she returned to her acting career, with her next significant role being Cathy Munsch in Scream Queens from 2015-2016.

Curtis provides the voice of Peregrine in Season 11. She first appears in "The Orpheus Gambit," and then returns in "Caught Napping."
