Professor Claudette Kane is a professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, focusing on feminist issues. She is also the wife of Lemuel Kane and the mother of Lana Kane who first appeared in "The Kanes".
Professor Kane is not particularly fond of Sterling Archer for obvious reasons, often due to his immaturity and rudeness. Though it was probably made worse, when Archer mistook their words at the hot tub, thinking they wanted a threesome and let out their ground rules. Which landed to shock and probably anger. Archer tells Lana he thought that was wanted they wanted when he said they had a "special" secret. After a long and crazy ride, chasing people who stole Lemuel's research. Lemuel revealed they had wanted to invite him to the Kane family reunion.
Though the pair are obviously not fond of him, they tried being fair to him, since he's A.J.'s father.
Claudette is voiced by C.C.H. Pounder.

- Lana explains to Archer in one episode that if anything were to happen to her [Lana] (and only her), custody of their daughter, Abbiejean, would go to either Lana's parents, Claudette and her husband, Lemuel (Lana's dad), or Lana's sister, instead of Archer and/or his mother, Malory. At first, Archer's against this, but after thinking it over, he realizes that it's probably what's best for their daughter.
