When Abbiejean is kidnapped, it's up to Archer to get her back and keep Lana's rampage pointed in the right direction.

- During the flashback to a drunk Archer being led onto Robert's plane, Archer rambles about the song American Pie.
- At the beginning of the episode, Archer takes a phone call from the kidnappers, literally out of Robert's hands, and sets a very specific set of threats and demands with a clear reference to the movie Taken with Liam Neeson.
- Archer and Lana encounters a woman (Brigitte) dressed in black leather and googles, while searching for A.J. at which point Archer asks: "So are you in a local stage production of The Matrix?" With a clear reference to the long black outfits and excessive leather clothing worn by the "freed minds" in the human resistance. It is possible the Latin/French accent of this woman is a meta reference to the Persephone (Monica Bellucci) who also helps Neo (Keanu Reeves) to get to the keymaker, although she required something of Neo in return, Brigitte does not.
- During her drunken rambling, Malory wants AJ's kidnappers to be mowed down like a bad day at the (Battle of the) Somme.
- Archer describes Switzerland's climate as "colder than (Ernest) Shackleton's nutsack".
